International property and construction consultancy, Gleeds, has been reappointed to manage multiple lots of the NHS Building for Wales 2 National Frameworks. The NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership has named Gleeds as an accredited supplier on the frameworks for the fifth time since 2007.
With an extensive track record of efficient project and cost management delivery in the sector, Gleeds can now bid to deliver multiple projects over the next four years, with the option to extend the agreement for a further two. The framework has an estimated construction value of £615m.
Gleeds has been appointed to provide project and cost management services under Lots 1 and 2 of the National Framework. Lot 1 will cover procurement for projects with a construction value exceeding £20m, while Lot 2 will encompass projects with a value between £7m–£20m.
The frameworks have multiple purposes, including ensuring NHS Wales complies with best practice models of procurement based on long-term strategic partnerships. They will also support the Welsh Government’s Healthier Wales programme, as well as guide the NHS in Wales towards becoming an exemplary organisation for all major construction procurement projects.
Lastly, the frameworks will support the NHS in Wales to deliver improved value for money when procuring construction projects through team building, skills development, and strategic partnerships with integrated supply chains.
Simon Williams, Regional Managing Director (South) at Gleeds, comments:
“These frameworks will play a huge role in Wales’s long-term plan to help the economy and provide better support for local communities, and we’re proud to be part of that. Being appointed once again to the framework is a testament to our team’s commitment to achieving successful outcomes for our clients and the communities they work for.”
