Fix Radio Launches a Podcast to Amplify the Voices of the UK’s Tradeswomen

Fix Radio, the Builders Station, is proud to announce the launch of their first podcast exclusively for tradeswomen. ‘Tradeswomen Together with Hattie & Steph’ will connect and amplify the voices of incredible tradeswomen across the UK.

The bi-weekly podcast will tackle some of the biggest issues facing women working in the trades, such as equal pay, skills, work/life balance, mental health and the challenges of being the only women on site. The podcast also aims to inspire the next generation of women to get on the tools and start doing it for themselves.

The show will be hosted by Hattie Hasan MBE, the founder of Stopcocks Women Plumbers and Register of Tradeswomen, and Steph Leese, better known as ‘The Pink Plasterer’. The fortnightly podcast will launch in mid-July and be available through Spotify, Apple and all good podcasting platforms.

Fix Radio’s Programme Director, Andy Shier said he was thrilled to have secured Hattie and Steph for the show.

“We have been looking to start this podcast for a long time, and we’re delighted to have two of the most respected tradeswomen in the industry coming on board for it,” said Shier.

“We already have eight other trade shows that tackle the issues that matter most to our audience. This will be a fantastic addition to our portfolio of groundbreaking trade content,” he added.

Fix Radio is the UK’s fastest growing commercial radio station. The Builders Station has a weekly reach of 724,856 tradespeople, tuning into its blend of upbeat music, humour and authentic trade voices. Approximately, one in four of the UK’s tradespeople tune into Fix Radio.
