Triple Triumph For Strand Homes’ Philip Mccullough At Prestigious NHBC Awards

A Strand Homes’ site manager has secured a triple win at the National House Building Council (NHBC) Awards which honours outstanding achievements in the construction industry.

Recognised for his quality craftsmanship and commitment to excellence at the High Trees development in Donaghadee Co Down, Philip McCullough was awarded the Quality Award, Seal of Excellence Award, and was named Regional Winner in the Pride in the Job Awards in the Small Builder Category.

He will also represent Northern Ireland and the Isle of Man at The National Awards in London in January 2024, where he will compete for the Overall Winner in his category.

The NHBC Awards acknowledge builders and developers who exceed expectations in delivering high standards of construction, innovation, and customer satisfaction. The awards not only reflect Philip’s commitment but Strand Homes’ dedication to quality and reputation for delivering homes that stand the test of time.

Commenting on his win Philip said: “Winning these awards is tremendous achievement for the whole team at Strand Homes and all involved in the High Trees development from central office through to the professionals onsite. I’m very lucky to have a dedicated workforce that enable me to produce high quality homes on site and winning this award recognises our dedication to what we do.”

Developed in 2020 and set behind the iconic high trees of Donaghadee, the site includes three, four and five-bedroom homes. The award-winning development was built in collaboration with an interior designer and an experienced design team to ensure a premium and bespoke range of turnkey finish homes with sustainability in mind.

Jonny Dobson, Founder and CEO of Strand Homes added, “These awards are a testament to the hard work and dedication of our entire team. We believe in creating homes that not only meet the highest standards but also enrich the lives of those who reside in them. For this to be recognised by NHBC is an honour and inspires us to continue pushing boundaries in innovation and setting new industry benchmarks. Well done to Philip and the team.”

Congratulating Philip on his Pride in the Job 2023 Regional Award, Padraig Venney, NHBC Regional Director for Northern Ireland, said: “By recognising Philip as one of the best site managers across the UK, we’re celebrating the vital role he plays in ensuring new homes are delivered on time, on safe sites, and to exacting construction quality standards.”

In addition to the NHBC Awards, Strand Homes’ High Trees development was also recognised at last week’s 2023 PropertyPal Awards which saw the company take home the prize for Green Development of the Year and Development of the Year, further emphasising its commitment to quality and sustainable practices.
