Mivan Wins Occupational Health & Safety Award

Mivan, the luxury fit out and bespoke joinery specialists, have won the Construction Specialist Contractor Award at the 32nd Annual All Ireland Occupational Safety Awards, which took place in Killarney on 13th October 2023.

Mivan picked up the prize at the Northern Ireland Safety Group (NISG) Gala Dinner on 9th November 2023 celebrating the 70th birthday of the NISG – a remarkable achievement. The All-Ireland Occupational Safety Awards was established in 1992 and have grown to become the premier safety awards on the island. The awards truly became an All-Ireland affair when NISG joined forces with the National Irish Safety Organisation (NISO) in 1995.

Winning a NISO / NISG Award demonstrates the positive and proactive culture of safety management that exists in Mivan. This recognition follows last year’s Northern Ireland Award and the previous year’s Best New Entry Large Size Organisation Award. Consistent high achievement clearly demonstrated in health and safety.

Jonathan Dougherty, SHEQ Manager said: “Health and safety is, and always will be, our number one priority at Mivan. It is a fundamental part of our core values which shape the identity at every level of our organisation. We are all delighted to be recognised with this prestigious award and exceptionally proud of this significant achievement. It demonstrates our ongoing attitude to driving outstanding health, safety, welfare, and wellbeing performance. We must thank all our supply chain partners, clients and above all the Mivan team for helping to achieve this success.”

Mivan has over 45 years’ experience creating luxury interior experiences for our clients. Working collaboratively with architects, designers, contractors, and suppliers to deliver excellence in everything that we do. The company successfully operates in a broad range of sectors including luxury hotels, prime residential, museums, stadiums, arenas, commercial offices, modular solutions and marine.
