WORK that McHale Plant Sales had been doing as distributors across the whole of Ireland for Metso Lokotrack mobile crushers and screens is said to have been a ‘springboard’ for the decision by the company to represent them throughout the wider UK mainland markets.
“The welcome given to us by quarry owners and aggregates producers throughout Northern Ireland gave us our first experience marketing Metso within a UK focused economy,” a spokesman said.
Since then, the company has established fully functioning sales and aftersales headquarters at Tamworth in Staffordshire, supported by a Scottish sales, after-sales and customer communications centre established at the West Telferton Industrial Estate on the east side of Edinburgh.
According to the company “Our efforts since then have focused on recruitment in sales, parts stores and distribution, and in mobile technical support engineers, latest being a field service engineer and sales representative, both based in Edinburgh.”
And in other news for the company, McHale Plant Sales has continued to build on its presence in Scotland with the appointment of an additional Field Service Engineer, Patrick McIlduff.
Working from their recently opened new Scottish depot at 13 West Telferton Industrial Estate on Edinburgh’s east side, he joins McHale with an in-depth knowledge of crushers and the crushing sector gained during a previous engagement in the industry.
Since being appointed, he has completed a period of Metso-specific product training and takes up his position serving owners through Scotland assisted, as required, by fellow service engineers from McHale headquarters in Tamworth.
